Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2: a 1000W class portable power station that recharges in 49 minutes
Most portable power stations take hours to refill. The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 goes from empty to full in 49 minutes from a standard wall outlet, which means you can top it up the moment a storm warning appears, or between one blackout and the next. It pairs that speed with a 1,024Wh LiFePO4 battery and a 2,000W inverter, so it runs real household appliances, not just phones and lights.
It is also one of the most compact units in the 1000 watt power station class. At 24.9 lb and 15.1 inches wide, Anker rates it 14% smaller and 11% lighter than comparable models, so it lives in a closet, under a desk or in a car trunk without taking over the space.
What the Anker C1000 Gen 2 can run
Estimated runtimes on a full charge, running one device at a time. Figures assume about 85% usable capacity after inverter losses, which is the realistic number to plan around.
| Appliance | Typical draw | Estimated runtime |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi router and modem | 20W | About 43 hours |
| CPAP machine (no humidifier) | 40W | About 21 hours, over two nights |
| CPAP machine with humidifier | 90W | About 9 hours, one full night |
| Full size refrigerator | 150W while running | Around 16 hours, as the compressor cycles on and off |
| LED lights, five bulbs | 50W | About 17 hours |
| Laptop | 60W | About 14 hours |
| 55 inch LED TV | 120W | About 7 hours |
| Coffee maker | 1,000W | About 50 minutes |
| Microwave | 1,200W | About 40 minutes of cooking |
| Smartphone | About 15Wh per charge | Roughly 50 full charges |
Running several devices at once shortens these times. To size a setup around your own appliances, use our power station sizing calculator, or check what your devices draw with the wattage calculator.
Key features
Full recharge in 49 minutes
With UltraFast charging switched on in the Anker app, the C1000 Gen 2 charges from the wall at up to 1,600W and reaches 100% in 49 minutes. Standard charging runs at up to 1,200W. UltraFast charging needs the battery above 68°F to reach full speed, and Anker recommends using it only when you need the speed, to protect long term battery health.
2,000W output, 3,000W peak
The 2,000W continuous output covers most household appliances, and the 3,000W peak handles the startup surge of motors and compressors, such as a refrigerator kicking back on. With 10 output ports across AC, USB-A, USB-C and a 12V car socket, you can power up to 10 devices at the same time. The fastest USB-C port delivers up to 140W, enough to charge most laptops directly.
Under 10ms UPS backup
Plug your CPAP machine, desktop computer or router into the C1000 Gen 2 while it is connected to the wall. If the grid drops, it switches to battery power in under 10 milliseconds, fast enough that most equipment keeps running without a restart. That makes it a practical battery backup for home offices and medical devices.
Built to last a decade
The LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery is rated to keep at least 80% of its capacity after 4,000 charge cycles, which Anker puts at around 10 years of daily use. LiFePO4 is also one of the most thermally stable battery chemistries available, which matters for a unit that sits in your home.
600W solar charging
Connect up to 600W of solar panels (60V maximum) through the XT60i input and the unit recharges fully in about 1.8 hours of strong sun. It can also charge from the wall and solar together, using solar first and topping up the rest from the grid. Car charging and Anker’s alternator charger add further options for road trips and RVs.
Quiet, app controlled and smart about energy costs
Rated as quiet as 20dB, it is comfortable to run in a bedroom or office. The Anker app lets you monitor output, schedule charging and switch on Time of Use mode, which charges when electricity is cheapest and powers your devices during peak price hours.
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 vs C1000: what changed
The original Anker SOLIX C1000 is still a popular model, so here is how the two compare side by side, using Anker’s published figures.
| C1000 Gen 2 | C1000 (original) | |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 1,024Wh | 1,056Wh |
| Continuous output | 2,000W | 1,800W |
| Peak output | 3,000W | 3,000W |
| AC recharge to 100% | 49 minutes | 58 minutes |
| Max AC input | 1,600W | 1,300W |
| UPS switchover | 10ms | 20ms |
| Solar input | 600W, 60V max | 600W, 60V max |
| LCD screen | Yes | No |
| Expandable capacity | No | Yes |
| Size | 15.1 x 8.2 x 9.6 in | 14.8 x 8.1 x 10.4 in |
Which should you choose? The Gen 2 charges faster, delivers more power, switches over twice as quickly in a blackout and adds a screen. The one thing it gives up is expansion: the original C1000 accepts an extra battery, the Gen 2 does not. If you might want to double your capacity later, the original C1000 is the better fit. If you want the fastest, most capable 1kWh unit as it comes, choose the Gen 2.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 be expanded with an extra battery?
No. Anker left out expansion to keep the Gen 2 smaller and lighter. If you want the option to add capacity later, the original Anker SOLIX C1000 supports an expansion battery.
How long does the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 take to charge?
About 49 minutes from 0 to 100% with UltraFast charging enabled in the Anker app, when the battery is above 68°F. Charging in colder conditions is slower. From 600W of solar, a full recharge takes about 1.8 hours in strong sun.
Can the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 run a refrigerator?
Yes. The 2,000W output and 3,000W peak handle a full size refrigerator’s startup surge comfortably. Because the compressor cycles on and off, a typical fridge runs for around 16 hours on a full charge.
Can I charge it from the wall and solar panels at the same time?
Yes. It draws from solar first and tops up the remainder from the wall, so you use as much free solar energy as possible.
Is it safe to use indoors?
Yes. There is no fuel, no exhaust and no carbon monoxide, so unlike a gas generator it can run inside your home, in a bedroom or beside a CPAP machine. Keep it on a hard surface with room around it for airflow.
What is the difference between the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 and the C1000 Gen 2?
The Gen 2 charges faster (49 versus 58 minutes), outputs more power (2,000W versus 1,800W), switches over faster in a blackout (10ms versus 20ms) and adds an LCD screen. The original C1000 has slightly more capacity and supports an expansion battery. See the full comparison table above.
