BLUETTI AC180: more capacity and more output than the units it competes with
The BLUETTI AC180 earned its following by undercutting the 1kWh class on price while beating it on paper. It holds 1,152Wh, slightly more than the EcoFlow DELTA 2 and the Anker C1000, and pushes 1,800W of continuous output through four AC outlets. Its LiFePO4 cells are rated for 3,500 or more cycles to 80% capacity, which is the specification that decides whether a power station is still useful in eight years.
It charges quickly too: 0 to 80% in 45 minutes with Turbo Charging switched on in the BLUETTI app, and full in roughly 1.3 to 1.8 hours.
What the BLUETTI AC180 can run
Estimated runtimes on a full charge, running one device at a time. These use BLUETTI’s own formula, which allows for 90% depth of discharge, 85% inverter efficiency and around 15W of self consumption.
| Appliance | Typical draw | Estimated runtime |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi router and modem | 20W | About 25 hours |
| CPAP machine (no humidifier) | 40W | About 17 hours, two nights |
| Full size refrigerator | 150W while running | Around 16 hours, as the compressor cycles on and off |
| Laptop | 60W | About 11 hours |
| PlayStation 5 | 200W | About 4 hours |
| 55 inch LED TV | 120W | About 6.5 hours |
| Coffee maker | 800W | About 1 hour |
| Microwave | 1,200W | About 43 minutes of cooking |
| Electric kettle | 1,500W | About 35 minutes |

Key features
1,800W output, 2,700W with Power Lifting
The AC180 delivers 1,800W continuously from four 120V outlets, enough for a fridge, a microwave or a coffee maker. Power Lifting Mode raises that to 2,700W for purely resistive appliances such as kettles, hair dryers and space heaters. Note the distinction: Power Lifting works for heating elements, not for motors and compressors.
0 to 80% in 45 minutes
With up to 1,440W of AC input and Turbo Charging enabled in the BLUETTI app, the Bluetti ac180 reaches 80% in 45 minutes and fills completely in about 1.3 to 1.8 hours. There are four ways to recharge in total: wall outlet, up to 500W of solar, a 12V car socket, or a generator.
3,500 or more cycles
The LiFePO4 pack is rated for 3,500 or more full cycles before it drops to 80% of original capacity. Charged once a week that is decades, and even charged daily it is close to ten years. BLUETTI recommends topping it up to 80% every three to six months if you are storing it unused.
Nine output ports
Four 120V AC outlets, a 100W USB-C port, four USB-A ports and a regulated 12V car socket. The 100W USB-C port charges most laptops directly, bypassing the inverter and saving around 15% of the energy compared with using the laptop’s wall adapter.
ECO mode and quiet operation
ECO mode switches the unit off automatically when it detects a low load, which stops it draining itself while idle between outages. Running noise is as low as 45dB while charging, quiet enough for a bedroom or a nursery.
Backup power for sensitive equipment
Left plugged into the wall with your equipment connected, the AC180 acts as an uninterruptible supply and takes over when the grid drops. One tip from the manual worth knowing: switch Grid Enhancement mode off when you use it as a UPS, because that mode slows the switchover.

Frequently asked questions
Is the BLUETTI AC180 expandable?
Not in the usual sense. The Bluetti AC180 does not accept expansion batteries that add to its own capacity. What it does support is Power Bank Mode, where a B80, B230 or B300 battery recharges the AC180 while you use it, extending total runtime to as much as 4,224Wh. You need the Aviation to DC7909 cable for the B80, or the P090D cable for the B230 and B300. If built in expansion matters to you, look at the AC200L instead.
How many amp hours is a BLUETTI AC180?
36Ah at the pack’s nominal 32V, which works out to 1,152 watt hours. Watt hours are the more useful figure when comparing power stations, because amp hours only mean something alongside the voltage they are measured at.
How long will the BLUETTI AC180 run a refrigerator?
Around 16 hours for a typical full size fridge. A fridge draws roughly 150W while the compressor runs but only cycles on about a third of the time, so real world runtime is far longer than a straight capacity division suggests. Startup surge is well within the Bluetti AC180’s headroom.
How long can I run a PS5 on the AC180?
About 4 hours of gaming. A PS5 pulls roughly 200W under load, less when idle or streaming. Add a TV at 120W and you are looking at closer to 2.5 hours for the pair.
What is ECO mode?
A setting that powers the unit down automatically when it sees a very low load for a period, so it does not slowly drain itself while sitting idle. Worth leaving on between outages, worth switching off if you are running something with a small standby draw that you need to stay on.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes, and the manual specifies indoor use. There is no fuel, exhaust or carbon monoxide, so the bluetti ac180 is safe in a bedroom or beside medical equipment. Keep it on a hard surface with space around it for the cooling fans.
